As news widely reported the sudden mysterious disappearance of a seventeen year old secondary school girl in ibadan western Nigeria, there have been postulated causes of her disappearance by concerned Nigerians.
According to News, the seventeen year old girl Maryam Sarumi disappeared mysteriously at Ogo Oluwa, Awotan, a developing community in the outskirt of Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
The incident occurred in a fenced three bedroom bungalow.
An eye witness, Folarin Ademilola, narrated that he was eating at the veranda of their house with Maryam when an object appeared from the sky, picked Maryam and disappeared the same way it came.
Speaking, the mother of the victim, Kehinde Sarumi explained that Folarin alerted them after Maryam had disappeared.
Contributing, the Imam of Ogo Oluwa Mosque, Ismail Abdulateef described the incident as mysterious and that prayer had commenced on the issue.
The Chairman, Ogo Oluwa Adaba, Awotan Community, Mr. Ayodeji Runsewe, said they had informed the police of the incident.
As at the time of filing this report, Maryam, who was said to be in SSS2 is yet to be found.
SPIRITUAL POSTULATIONS
Some quarters were captured as saying that spiritual forces must be responsible for Maryann's vanishing, opining that the people of that area has deep affinity for their culture, tradition and voodoo (black magic). However, these assertions were yet to be proven as at the time of filing in this report.
SCIENTIFIC POSTULATIONS
Many other educated minds suggested the activities of some extra-terrestrial beings which sometimes comes to interfere in the realm of earth. This would not be the first time encounters with Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) were globally reported. It is scientifically believed that life in other planets (known or unknown) and more advanced in science and technology may have the ability to conduct activities on earth and in the process may encounter humans.
