This update is the untold part of the story on Afuze Community in Edo State of Nigeria and how vicious gunmen believed to be political assailants unleashed hell on a Police station and the INEC office in that locality. This is as the general elections in the country was on-going.
The identity of the pregnant police woman slain in the Afuze massacre has been unveiled. She is Sergeant Justina. She was recently posted to Afuze from Benin where she carried out her official duty diligently. She was on duty at the Afuze Police Station when the armed attackers came to the station.
Sergeant Justina was met at the counter and gunned down instantly.
The attackers used dynamite to blow up the DPO office before heading to his office where he was shot dead along with other police officers on duty.
The heavily armed men also broke into the cell and released all the suspects. However, three of the suspects have now been re-arrested by the police. They also burnt down every vehicle in sight in the police Station including that of the late DPO.
The vicious, deadly and die-hard attackers also moved to Afuze INEC office and set it ablaze.
Hell let loose for Afuze people during the attack as most of the residents escaped into the bush.
