The embattled APC faction of former PDP members known as the New PDP or nPDP who have been making frantic efforts to return to their old family, the People's Democratic Party PDP are now facing more demons from the local strongholds which have hindered their smooth cross-carpeting.
News has it that the four apex leaders of the nPDP - Saraki, Goje, Kwankwaso and Tambuwal are not finding it funny with the high degrees of resistance metted out to them by their local PDP grassroots.

In Sokoto State, it is believed that a cold feeling existing between Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and his former political benefactor Senator Aliyu Wamako has left many twists in the political terrain of the men.
With alleged pressure mounting on Tambuwal to forge a new independent political path by not joining the PDP with Wamako, and the latter supporters urging the former to join the PDP in order to make way for Wamako's more compliant political surrogate as Govetnor in the event of the format's loss at presidential primaries, the current controller of the Sokoto state PDP structure and former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa has insisted that any entry into the party must follow his position on the queue.
Gombe state is not left out as there are alleged strings of war of attrition between Governor Ibrahim Damkwambo and Senator Danjuma Goje. This according to News, will make it difficult for the embattled Senator to have a smooth landing into the same party with the Governor.
