PHOTOS FROM THE SCENE OF GHASTLY OIL TANKER AND BUS ACCIDENT THAT CONAUMED OVER 20 PEOPLE IN IMO STATE

It was hell on Friday along Orlu - Umuaka - Owerri road when a fully loaded petrol tanker hit an 18 seater commercial bus and rolled over. This caused huge explosion and fire that engulfed both vehicles as well as other oncoming cars, killing and burning to ashes all persons within the entire perimeter.

News reports have it that more than 20 people including all occupants of the bus died and were burnt beyond recognition while only a woman escaped with injuries and minor burns.

This terrible accident which occurred in the late hours of the morning on Friday caused instant and massive gridlock and chaos with inhabitants of the area and oncoming road users scampering for safety.

An eye witness who claimed anonymity narrated that a loud explosion made him run to the scene only to see tongues of fire and burning human bodies blindly trying to escape from their trapped wreckage.

People were scared to go closer as the fire and black smoke swept the entire area, sending almost two dozens to their early graves.
